Free, 3 ECTS credits. Taught live at two national universities and online in 20 hours of subtitled video.

We operate exclusively on the ground in Ukraine. 100% of public donations directly support Ukrainian students, classroom materials, and university accreditation.

Milestones

How we got here

  • Feb 2023 · Lutsk

    Dean Anton Demchuk introduces Eric Putzig to over 100 VNU professors. BUD begins to take shape.

  • Sept 2023

    BUD is registered in Texas and granted 501(c)(3) status.

  • Autumn 2023

    The first “Democracy” course runs live for students of two national universities.

  • May 2024

    Volyn National University awards Eric Putzig an honorary doctorate.

  • Spring 2025

    The online “Democracy” course launches; 14 universities recognize it.

  • Spring 2026

    Record 615 registrations from 69 Ukrainian universities.
